Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills Program

Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills is the second step in the Paddle Canada personal skills stream. The Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills program might be the most important development program in the entire paddle Canada Scheme.  During the program you will be introduce to fundamental paddling techniques that you will continue to develop throughout your paddling journey. These two-day programs will cover a board range of presentation topics essential for planning day trips along the Atlantic coast and beyond. Button Text

Paddle Canada Level 3 Skills Program

The Kayak Clubhouse 621 Highway 335, West Pubnico, Nova Scotia

Participants will focus on the skills necessary for leading and managing groups in moderate sea states and tidal conditions with currents less than 4 knots. You will be exposed to leadership principles to work with groups in limited landing zones, surf beaches, and rescues in advanced conditions. We will also work on personal competencies in these conditions. This program is physically demanding, and participants must be prepared to paddle for long periods in challenging conditions. Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills Weekend 1

Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills sea kayaking is the third step in the Paddle Canada skills stream. During this four-day program we will have the opportunity to take the techniques learned during the Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills program into more complex environments (wind, waves and tidal currents) Weekend one July 8-9 and Weekend two July 22-23 This program format will take place over two weekends.  This option has proven beneficial for three reasons: Time to process the information Conservation of your vacation day from work Time to practice the techniques between weekend. Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills Weekend 2

Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills sea kayaking is the third step in the Paddle Canada skills stream. During this four-day program we will have the opportunity to take the techniques learned during the Paddle Canada Level 1 Skills program into more complex environments (wind, waves and tidal currents)   June 4/5 and June 25/26 This program format will take place over two weekends.  This option has proven beneficial for three reasons: Time to process the information Conservation of your vacation day from work Time to practice the techniques between weekend. Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills sea kayaking is the third step in the Paddle Canada skills stream.
